Uxbridge, London, January 20, 2005 - Esselte UK has won the
Office to Office Group’s Supply Chain Award 2004, which was presented by
Michael Hibbert, Merchandising Director to Nigel Gunn, Managing Director
Esselte UK and Ireland at the recent Office to Office Group Conference.
Shirley Mercer, Supply Chain Manager, said, “We gave the Award to
Esselte because we wanted to congratulate them for their enormous
improvement in service. I know that they were well aware of the problems
that they used to have but this is well in the past. Last year they
moved to a 24 hour lead time and have still maintained a very high level
of stock available. As we have between 250-300 suppliers, it is all
credit to them that they have won this Award.”
In response, Nigel Gunn commented, “Office to Office is a progressive
company and we are delighted to be involved in their success. This Award
is particularly important to us because we have worked so hard over the
last two years to get our service levels right. It is a fantastic
achievement to know that our customers have recognised our improvement
