Firmly established as the ultimate accolade for organisations dealing
in office products, the prize is awarded each year by the European
office magazine OPI. Esselte is proud of having received two awards as
well as being highly commended for its excellent performance in all
three categories the company was originally nominated for.
The awards, presented annually at Paperworld fair in Frankfurt,
recognize the business success, excellence of companies and
professionals in the office products industry. The formal award ceremony
is attended by an international audience formed by the industry’s senior
managers, press and trade.

Best Marketing Initiative
Esselte received the first prize for “Best Marketing Initiative”. Three
finalists were selected from the large number of entries in this
category, but Esselte prevailed to win the award for the 2008 promotion
campaign “Leitz Office Games”. The award praised the
relevance of the theme as well as its comprehensive execution, and
especially the successful and consistent pan-European implementation
with many Esselte customers.

Vendor of the Year
The most prestigious award was acknowledged for “Vendor of the Year”,
getting ahead of seven other well known and established companies. The
jury complimented Esselte’s consistent strategy and subsequent business
success over the past number of years. Furthermore, the high service
levels throughout Europe, the structural approach on innovation and
marketing combined with solid dealer management and relationships were
all cited as factors that have propelled Esselte to top position in the
industry.
The third nomination was for the category
“Best Product Launch”
. Having missed winning the award by just a few points, Esselte received a
highly commended runner-up for the
Leitz Combifile , a folder which can be turned into a pocket. The product
was loved for its versatility, originality and practicality being
perfectly designed for modern living where mobile working and filing is
becoming standard practice.
